Developing and maintaining control plans, PFMEAs, and measurement system analyses, conducting capability studies and SPC monitoring, managing customer and supplier quality issues, supporting PPAP and APQP activities, conducting internal audits, and driving root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 3–6 years of manufacturing quality engineering experience, ASQ CQE certification preferred, and proficiency with quality tools (SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP). Automotive (IATF 16949) or aerospace (AS9100) quality system experience is frequently required.
Quality engineers who have managed a customer 8D corrective action process from initial complaint through verified effectiveness — including root cause verification at the customer — demonstrate the end-to-end quality accountability that customer-facing manufacturing demands.
